Baby Winter
Boots
Until your baby is walking
around on their own, having a specific pair of
baby winter boots
is probably not a necessary investment for you to make. Baby
winter boots can be very difficult to get on and off easily
(and you will be dealing with this a lot, since they tend to
fall off, too!), and the boots can also be somewhat heavy and
clunky for your baby to wear. Before they are walking, wearing
insulated booties is usually enough. However, once your baby is
walking around upright, you will want to make sure that he or
she has a nice pair of baby winter boots to keep those tiny
toes from getting cold and wet.
When you buy baby winter boots
for your child, you need to make sure that they are
lightweight, since youngsters have a hard enough time
getting around without wearing heavy boots, too. Yet they
need to be water-resistant and warm - we all know how kids love
the snow, mud and puddles!
The boots should be well
insulated for warmth; fortunately,
today’s insulation is nice and thin and
does not add a great deal of bulk or weight to the boots
while making them super warm. Also, having a good solid
rubber non-slip tread on the bottom is absolutely
necessary. Again, remember that your toddler may be a bit
unsteady yet on his feet and you don’t want him to be slipping around
and falling down frequently if it’s icy or slippery.

walking in dry but cold weather; stylish pink boots by Skeanie;

Baby winter boots should be
appropriate for the conditions. If it is simply cold, then an
insulated pair of shorter boots will be fine. However, if you
live in an area where there is a lot of snow to play in, you
will want to find baby winter boots that come up a bit higher
on the calf and fit snugly enough to keep out the snow if your
baby is playing outdoors.
